The Office national du ducroire | Nationale Delcrederedienst becomes the majority shareholder in TCRe

The Belgian Export Credit Agency, the Office national du ducroire | Nationale Delcrederedienst (ONDD), becomes the majority shareholder in the Belgian company Trade Credit Re Insurance Company (TCRe). Today, on Tuesday 28th February 2012, the National Bank of Belgium has given its support to the Belgian public credit insurer to complete the repurchase of the shares previously held by ABN Amro. ONDD will now own 52.82% of the company’s shares. TCRe is a credit insurance company that has established a unique market position by offering excess-of-loss cover. The company has recognised experience and has seen regular growth over recent years. This operation forms part of an industrial objective designed to provide TCRe with the resources to continue its growth and to supplement the range of products offered by the ONDD Group.
